To honour the land that inspired our new Australian Flora Range, we’ve matched our latest range to some gorgeous garments made by Indigenous labels. Treat yourself or someone else to the whole shebang while supporting First Nations folk.
In keeping with this time of year we’ve made our matches with an eye to what you may want to wear Christmas Day or to one of Santa’s associated parties, but the outfits will work beautifully throughout the summer months as well.
Please note: We have, where indicated by the label, used garments allocated Ally Friendly wear only, rather than garments made specifically only for First Nations people. Also note that Simone Walsh is an ally herself and not a First Nations person.
Joomoo Tree Dress + Golden Wattle Jewellery
You’ll scrub up nice in our new, shiny Wattle Blossom Gold Pendant and matching gold stud earrings with Magpie Goose’s sleeveless, A-line dress Joomoo Tree Midi-Dress. As a species the wattle has been part of the Australian landscape for 35 million years, with the golden wattle featuring on both our Coat of Arms and as our official national flower. Like you, it’s a pretty big deal.
All elements of our stylised wattle blossom pendant are made with 14ct solid gold, including the delicate chain. We reckon this piece and its matching earrings will beautifully complement Rowena Mouda’s gorgeous Joomoo Tree pink print on wine tencel/linen.
Rowena is a descendent of the Oomeday and Yowjabi (Mother’s father), and Nyikina and Bardi (mother’s mother) tribes of the West Kimberley region.
